Day 18

I'm official!  Today momma and daddy told me that I'm no longer a foster kitten, but I am theirs!  Today is the best day ever!  Not only did I get to play with Callie and Xena almost ALL afternoon, but I got adopted!  YAY!!  I do not have to go to a different, unknown family.  

I am the happiest little kitten ever!

Today was a great day all around... I pounced on Amelia while she was sleeping and she didn't attack me!  I think that she is starting to warm up to me.  She even let me take a nap REALLY close to her (I was about a foot away) without attacking me in my sleep or moving herself... she just slept too.  It was great!  I woke up before she did, and started to play with her tail... she didn't like that very much and hit me in the head with her paw... after that I decided to go play with Callie and Xena instead.  Maybe she isn't as quite warmed up to me as I thought she was...

Momma let me help her fold laundry today... it was a lot of fun!  Every time she picked up a piece of laundry, I jumped on it and wrestled with it... and then I even got to knock over her pile of folded laundry that she left on the bed for me to play with... it was so much fun!  

I can not wait to see what tomorrow has in store for me and my newly official family!  Good night!

Day 17

Life is great!!  Momma and daddy have decided that I am big enough to run around the house whenever I want (except at night).  Well, actually, the way the story goes is that I am now big enough to jump the barrier they had that kept me in my room... so in a way, they had no choice but to let me have full run of the house.  There are so many cool places to explore here!!  I've discovered the kitchen and the porch, I've found 3 closets, and have even (briefly) discovered the stairs to get downstairs!  I get to run around with Callie and Xena all day, and play and play and play!!!!

Callie and Xena are constantly coming up with new games that the 3 of us can play together!  I love this new game they came up with... they like to walk around the bed while they know I'm on the bed, and let me attack their tails, or plain just jump off the bed onto them (or the floor when they move unexpectedly).  It is so much fun!!  Then, they jump on the bed with me and let me play with their tails... or their faces.... or Callie's mane...

Me and Amelia have come to a sort of understanding.  I stalk and chase her, and when I catch her, she turns around and says some very not nice things in cat language.  Then (luckily) she doesn't attack me back, usually she jumps up somewhere I can't reach her.  Which, is good... she is ginormous compared to me...  I'd be on unlucky duck if she ever really tried to attack me.  I think momma and daddy need to work on her manners tho, she does say some pretty not nice things to me!  Unfortunately, they do not speak cat, so I do not think they know what she is saying.  

I embarrassed myself yesterday while I was playing with daddy... we have a new kitten toy that he likes to fling around in the air so I can jump and catch it.  Yesterday I had a clumsy kitten moment and when I jumped to attack the toy, I lost my balance and landed on my side instead of my feet.  It knocked the wind out of me!  I scared daddy and I was pretty scared myself.  I had to take a break from playing, and decided it was nap time.  I was very embarrassed... I was told that kittens always are supposed to land on their feet.  I will make sure that I try harder to land on my feet!  I can't keep embarrassing myself like that!

I am really loving my life!  This place has everything a kitten could ask for.  The only downside to being so tiny is that Callie still steps on me from time to time.  Luckily, I'm fast enough so that it doesn't happen often (she is very big and clumsy) but sometimes it happens when I'm not paying attention.  

Its been a busy day of playing with Callie and Xena!!  Must catch up on my kitten napping for now!

Day 9

Soooo.... today was kinda boring.  Daddy started a new job today, and so I am very sad to say that I had a lot of down time in my room.  I caught a lot of kitten naps, and played with my toys while I was waiting for someone to come home.  BORING!!

Momma FINALLY came home after what felt like forever and let me out of my room so I could PLAY.  I got to play the dive-out-from-under-the-couch-game-and-attack-Callie-and-Xenas-noses game with them for a LONG time... it was the most fun that I had all day!  I was very surprised... Amelia sat on the top of the couch watching us all play... she didn't growl or hiss at me at all today (but she was definitely not interested in playing with us) so that was good!  I played with Callie and Xena for a very long time, then momma put me back in my room to take a kitten nap.  

After my nap, momma gave me a toy of Amelias that apparently she doesn't ever play with.  I think she is crazy!!  It is the best toy ever!  It has a tail and its so much fun to attack and play with!  I played with it for what seemed like forever... there are so many places in my room to hide and sneak attack it and pounce on it!!  

Sadly... thats all my adventures for today!  Hopefully tomorrow is a little more exciting... this little kitten needs some adventure in his life!!

Day 8

Today was an awesome day!   Both momma and daddy stayed home almost all day and played with me!  I even got to run around the WHOLE house.  It was awesome!

Callie and Xena have invented the newest and most fun game ever!  I run and hide under Amelia's couch (when she is not there of course...) and they stick their noses under the couch and I attack them!  It is so much fun!  The three of us played that game all night tonight!  They were having just as much fun as I was!

I think Amelia is slowly getting more used to me.  Tonight, while I was running around the house, I ran into her in the bedroom.  I didn't know she was there, I was playing hide and seek with Xena and when I went to hide around the corner of the bed, there was Amelia!  Being the young, brave, (and naive) kitten that I am, I ran RIGHT up to her to see if she wanted to play too... she just sat there and hissed at me.  So, I ran back around the bed but there was Xena!  I had to hide!  So I ran back towards where Amelia was, and she hissed some more, but she didn't want to get up from her spot.  So, I just stood there and waited to see if she would change her mind.  I was sad that she didn't want to play with us, but I'm glad that she doesn't look at me like I'm her next meal like she used to...  I think we are making process!

Today I showed momma and daddy just how far I can jump!  They moved the chair that I was using to jump over the barrier in my room so that I couldn't use it any more...  but, I still tried anyway!!  Sadly, I missed... and it hurt a little, but I tried again... and missed again.  Momma took pity on me and came in and rescued me... I just wanted to be where they were.

Today I think I surprised Xena a little... she was eating her dinner, and I ran behind her, between her legs, and stuck my head right into her dinner bowl...  she jumped, and then started chasing me!  I do not think Amelia does those sorts of things with them, she seems to just sleep a lot.  I love to PLAY!!  I hope that Callie and Xena always want to play with me, it is so much fun!

It has been a looooong day of playing with my family.  Its time for this little kitten to call it a night!!  See you tomorrow!

Day 5, 6, and 7

Sorry about not sharing my story the last few days!  Momma has been very busy and I have barely seen her to tell her what to type for me (since I can't reach the key board on my own).

The last few days have been not quite as exciting.  Both momma and daddy have been really busy, so I haven't had anyone to play with much.  Even Callie and Xena have been gone too!  I've only seen them at night time when they get home from mommas work.

I have discovered that I can jump onto the chair next to the barrier that momma has set up in my room and can jump over the barrier!  I surprised them by coming and saying  "HI" when they thought I was all tucked away in my room.  But, then daddy moved the chair, so now I can get up on it but can't jump over the barrier.  I was very sad to discover that when I jumped back up and attempted to jump over again, only to discover the floor on my side of the barrier.  Guess that was a one time deal until I'm big enough to jump over the barrier without having the use the chair!  I am a growing kitten!  I will be there someday soon!!

I think Amelia is starting to get used to me a little more.  Daddy lets me run around the WHOLE house at night, and then we play the game where they put their hands under the sheets and I attack them.  Amelia is almost always in the bedroom and watches me play with them.  So far, she has only hissed at me once since that first day.  I hope that that means that she is starting to like me!  

Today momma took me outside to meet some really nice ladies at her yard sale...  (how you sell a yard I am still trying to figure out, but either way, they are trying to do it!)  I had fun getting passed around and meeting new friends.  They seemed to be having fun attempting to sell the yard.  To me, it was too hot outside... as much fun as I had being loved on by the nice pretty ladies, I was happy to be back in my cool room.

When momma was all done with her yard sale, she let me run around the house and play with Callie and Xena.  I scared her by hiding in one of the couches, she couldn't find me!  I have so much fun running around the HUGE room and darting in and out from under the furniture.  Callie likes to lay down in the middle of the room and I sneak up on her tail and attack it!!  Its so much fun.  But, after a little while of this running around, I get really tired.  Little kittens need their rest, so for now, I am going to call it a night and go curl up on my soft fleece bed.  Hopefully tomorrow momma and daddy will have more time to play with me so I can share more exciting adventures!
